✿ ITINERARY :
☞ DAY 1 : FES – IFRANE – MIDELT – ZIZ VALLEY – ERFOUD – SAHARA DESERT :
❖ Depart from Fes in the morning and pass through Ifrane, often called “the Switzerland of Morocco.” Continue through the cedar forests of Azrou, where you may see wild monkeys. Stop for lunch in Midelt, then drive through the scenic Ziz Valley before arriving in Merzouga. In the afternoon, ride camels across the Erg Chebbi dunes and watch the sunset. Enjoy dinner and live music at your luxury desert camp, where you’ll spend the night under the stars.
☞ DAY 2 : FULL DAY TO EXPLORE THE SAHARA DESERT :
❖ Wake early to catch the magical desert sunrise. After breakfast, explore the desert region by 4×4. Visit nomadic Berber families, the village of Khamlia known for Gnawa music, and nearby oases or seasonal salt lakes. Return to Merzouga for another relaxed evening and overnight stay (either at a hotel or desert camp, as preferred).
☞ DAY 3 : MERZOUGA DESERT – ZIZ VALLEY – AZROU – IFRANE – FES :
❖ After breakfast, begin your return journey to Fes, retracing the beautiful route through the Ziz Valley and Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop again in Midelt and Azrou before arriving in Fes in the late afternoon or evening, marking the end of your desert experience.
