✿ ITINERARY :
☞ DAY 1 : MARRAKECH – ATLAS MOUNTAINS – AIT BENHADDOU KASBAH – OUARZAZATE – DRAA VALLEY – ZAGORA DESERT :
You will depart early from Marrakech, heading into the High Atlas Mountains and crossing the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, where you’ll enjoy sweeping views of valleys, Berber villages, and winding roads. Along the way, you will visit the stunning Aït Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its ancient architecture and role in many films.
Afterward, you will continue to Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Africa,” with an optional stop at the Atlas Film Studios or Taourirt Kasbah. From there, the journey takes you through the lush palm groves and ancient kasbahs of the Draa Valley, one of Morocco’s longest and most beautiful valleys.
By late afternoon, you’ll arrive in Zagora, where you’ll ride camels into the dunes to watch the magical sunset. You will then spend the night in a traditional desert camp, enjoying a Berber dinner, music by the campfire, and sleeping under a sky full of stars.
☞ DAY 2 : ZAGORA DESERT – AGDEZ – OUARZAZATE – MARRAKECH :
You will wake early to catch the peaceful sunrise over the dunes, then enjoy a traditional Berber breakfast at the camp. After returning to Zagora by camel, your journey back to Marrakech begins.
You’ll drive once more through the Draa Valley, passing palm groves and kasbahs, and stop in Ouarzazate for a break and optional lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass again, with a chance to take in the mountain scenery before arriving in Marrakech by evening, ending your quick but unforgettable desert escape.
